Centrally located, the village of Lyng has a village shop and pub serving food, ¼ mile and there is a quality gastro pub 2 miles away. Within an hour’s driving distance are some excellent sandy beaches and RSPB nature and bird reserves and the famous Norfolk Broads, daily boat hire and river trips available to explore the expanse of waterways rich in wildlife and birds. A good walking and cycling network of quiet lanes and trails can be enjoyed from the doorstep. The fine city of Norwich has excellent shopping, cinemas, cathedral, castle museum, a theatre and good restaurants, a 30-minute drive. Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park, Thursford Museum, Dinosaur Adventure Park, the children’s woodland park BeWilderwood (seasonal opening), golf course at Weston Park, the popular market towns of Reepham, Dereham and Fakenham are all a short drive.
